14: Pitch Story board 2 and shot list (Lorel)
14. Pitch Story board 1 and shot list (Lorel)
Here are pictures of the first draft of our story board, as you can see this is just a rough sketch with rough ideas of what we intended to do
Pitch - Settings and Location (Florence)
RISK ASSESSMENT
- As we are filming some of our footage during the evening , there is more chance that camera equipment could fall or get damaged due to lack of light. To avoid this we are going to make sure we set up lighting first and foremost before shooting
- We are recording on premises where people live and therefore our recording and use of background music may become problematic to residents so we need to be aware of the amount of noise we make in order to be allowed to get enough footage for the music video. I also have relatives in Hale village and Manor house , so if all fails we will have to shoot nearer or in their apartments.
- Area's that we are planning to film in are popular sites and therefore are likely to be busy and so we plan on shooting at times that are less busy eg. avoiding rush hour and also find settings near enough for you to see the background but far enough to be away from disruptions.
- We plan on shooting footage of a couple eating at one point so we must make sure no food or sauce gets on to equipment and to do this we will make sure the camera is a good distacne from the couple and ensuring everyones hands are washed before touching any other equipment.
Pitch - Costume (Florence)
After closlely studying other music videos from our chosen genre we have a good idea of what our target audience would expect to see , but I also decided to ask both a male and female (from our target audience bracket) what they would expect
Dionne , 17
"A lot of boys , alcohol , video vixen , jewels and a watch probably"
Eden, 18
"Designer clothes , bucket hat ,boys + apartment"
Consequently we are planning to use an apartment , a bucket hat ( which is part of our brand image) , a love interest ( a video vixen wouldnt suit the concept of the music video) and jewellery. We chose these things out of all the other options because , we are doing a narrative music video as well a performance one and as a group we feel these things help tell the story the best.
Pitch Post 5. (Audience 2) (Shanai)
Our artist is independent and doesn't have a fan page, but looking at our twitter we could familiarise ourselves with the kind of audience. Many of them are London based, so would expect to see scenery from London and depending on the lyrics, cuts to the artists ends, to show which part of London he's repping. Looking at other music videos with the same genre, we noticed these are all conventions, as well as casual clothing replicating London based trends, which is why kept our outfits quite simple, dark colours mirroring many outfits London guys and girls, as well as remaining with our artists own personal style.

Pitch Post 2. Brand Image (Shanai)
T- Scott ft. R- Gray
Both our artist will be wearing casual street urban styled outfits, such a bucket hat, bomber jacket ect, this is because it allows our audience to have a shared identity and be able to relate to their brand image, especially as the artist are in the same age range as their core audience. Looking at other grime and afro beats artist they often mirror what we see a lot of London based young adults wear.
